I’m a little late with this one, but this song is so good that it’ll surely make up for my tardiness. This week’s Smooth Sax lies within Wildcat! Wildcat!’s new song, The Chief. The song itself is one great piece of indie pop, and if you just did a quick sample of The Chief, you’d probably never know that there was a smooth sax in it. Wildcat! Wildcat! made the bold move of including the saxophone in the last 45 seconds or so. It works so well, though. The sax helps drive the song home on a grand scale, and it’s so good that it leaves you wanting more. You’re only option is to keep replaying The Chief over and over again.
